I visited a few websites but a good one was www.uswardogs.org. I read an article written by SSgt Tracy L. English entitled, “The Quiet Americans: A History of Military Working Dogs.” I learned that at the start of WWI that other countries had service dogs but the United States did not. In WWII we began using service dogs. The War Dog Program began in 1943. These heroes have been used to detect bombs and as sentries.
Let me know what you think about Our War Dogs. I think they are unimaginably brave.
