Over the summer I visited Boston with my family and we took our friends from New Rochelle with us. We had a great time touring around the city.  We went on a Duck Tour.  We visited the Boston Aquarium and we got to tour Harvard.  I even touched the foot on the statue of John Harvard.  One place that we visited was a Memorial to those who served and sacrificed their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq.  The Memorial was outside of the Old North Church.  There was a sign that explained the meaning of the Memorial and it was surrounded by numerous dogtags.  I thought of Michael Arciola, Private First Class, United States Army.  He died while serving Our County.  He died in Iraq at age 20. I haven’t seen his Mom in a while, but I think about her a lot.  We will be once again walking on their behalf at the USO 9/11 Remembrance Walk-A-Thon on November 10th in NYC.  The Walk starts at Hudson River Park Pier 84.  This 5K Walk starts at 8:45 AM and ends at 10:30 AM. There is a reception from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM.   Last year Team Stars for Cars raised $1000.00. If you want to walk or donate go to USO 2013 Remembrance Walk

Did you know that the percentage of people serving Our Country is 1% of the total population?  That means that we should support them and their families.  We are the lucky and safe 99%ers who owe them for their sacrifice.
