Thank you to Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins for visiting Albert Leonard Middle School. She gave me a Certificate of Recognition for my “3 Holidays Announcement” Letter Writing Campaign. I contacted 7,000 schools, superintendents, government officials all across NYS and also The White House. 101 Schools have agreed to say the announcements on Patriot Day, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day. Some of the schools even want to sell the stars. I felt grateful for the support I received from my teachers and classmates. Thank you also to Principal John Barnes and Dr. Diane Massimo Assistant Superintendent, City School District of New Rochelle. I was so excited to show my Mom the certificate when I came home that I scooped up my dog, Lucky, and she took this picture.
