On June 14, 2015 Michael Arciola had a street renamed after him at the Elmsford Remembrance Ceremony & Street Dedication.  Michael Arciola, Private First Class, United State Army was killed in Iraq at age 20 in 2005.  The story of his sacrifice and that of his family inspired me to found Stars for Cars when I was 8.  Military Families like his support their loved ones who sacrifice for our safety and pull the weight of additional responsibility because the family member is not home.  The street naming is an important way to remember the sacrifices of the Arciola family.  By renaming a street for him, any passerby will think about him and his sacrifice will not be in vain.  The “3 Holidays Announcement” is great way to achieve this as well.  When the announcement is made, families will not be forgotten. This is a picture of me and Mrs. Arciola when we first met.  I treasure it.
