I am thankful for my aunt who lives in Ohio and is doing better.  I am thankful for my Grandma and Aunt Alice and that they are doing well.  My Aunt Alice just came to my CYO basketball game and she is over 90 years old.  I am thankful that my rescue dog, Lucky, is happy and healthy.  I am thankful that my teacher from last year cared enough about me to buy an extra bagel reserved just for me.  That made me feel important.   I am thankful that I have a home to live in and that my house was not blown away by Sandy.  I am thankful that our friends in Long Beach, NY are starting to rebuild. I am thankful that this country has a National Guard.  I am also thankful for the EMS and other First Responders. I am thankful that my Dad is home unlike others whose parents are serving or who have died in service to our country.  We should also be thinking about those who do not have their Dads, Moms, brothers, sisters, or children. I am thinking of all of them.

Your Neighbor,

Jake
