David Jaslow is the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards High School State Honoree for New York State. I met David in Washington, D.C. He started an organization called Go With Courage, Inc. Go With Courage collects donations to support critical cancer research work and to families struggling with cancer. David hosts events such as “Ladies’ Day Card Parties”, shopping events for the holidays, and “Casino Nights”. These events draw about 200-300 supporters. David also conducts toy drives and delivers meals to families dealing with cancer. His fellow high school students solicit raffle prizes and helps stuff goody bags.
On a more personal note, David said to me after I became one of ten National Honorees that he was happy that “at least one New Yorker won.” He was very supportive of me. I will never forget the time that I spent with David Jaslow. Please support his organization.
