Sorry I could not post earlier because I had lots of events. I was in a horse show, I had Social Studies, Science, and Math tests, I fell off a horse (but I am okay), and I had basketball games.  I wanted to acknowledge that yesterday was the 71th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  The United States of America didn’t anticipate an attack on Pearl Harbor.  On December 7, 1941, the Japanese bombarded Pearl Harbor.  After the attack, Admiral Yamanoto, commander of the Japanese fleet quoted “It seems all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant.”   To find out more about Pearl Harbor Day, please visit www.archives.gov/education/lessons/day-of-infamy/ where I read the first typed draft of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s War Address.  Also, I found the statistics at www.pearlharborday.org.  I learned about the USS Arizona Memorial at www.nps.gov/valr/historyculture/index.htm.

Your Neighbor,

Jake Gallin
