Today I walked at Pier 84 in NYC once again to show my support for the USO and to raise awareness for the Blue Star and Gold Star Military Families. We walked in honor of Michael A. Arciola, Private First Class, United States Army and his family. Thank you to Bill and Jack White, my Dad, Uncle Mike Gallin and his girlfriend, Marybelle. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to everyone who donated to Team Stars for Cars. We raised $540.00.
The warmup exercises were great and the leader was a soldier. Dunkin Donuts was there to provide food and drinks for the morning for free. Even their mascot participated in the warmups and the 5K. The NYPD came and set up a rock wall to climb. I also saw Brian Whiting, the President and CEO of the USO Metropolitan New York. The weather was gorgeous and I had a great time.
Mom was home sick today but she was cheering us on. We missed her and can’t wait to have her next year. See you next year and go Team Stars for Cars!
